Mayibuye Mandela Urges Global Action: A Call for Support for Palestine and Reflections on Apartheid
Summary
Mayibuye Mandela, a prominent South African political activist and the great-grandson of Nelson Mandela, emphasized the historical support Palestinians provided during the apartheid era in South Africa in an exclusive interview with RT. Drawing parallels between the Israel-Hamas conflict and apartheid, he criticized what he perceives as Israel’s unchecked actions, attributing it to strong American support. Mayibuye called for sanctions against Israel, including the removal of embassies and Israeli products from South African shelves. He advocated arming Palestinians and Hamas, stating that South Africa supports their defense. Despite emphasizing opposition to Zionists and their alleged oppression, Mayibuye expressed no issues with the Jewish people. He endorsed a two-state solution as the ideal resolution.

Unmasking Media Bias:
A Critical Perspective on the Israel-Palestine Conflict.

In examining the Israel-Palestine conflict, a critical viewpoint emerges, challenging the narrative often presented by Western media.
The idea that Western media is biased in favor of Israel isn’t new. From this perspective, Palestinians’ experience of apartheid is considered worse than that of South Africa, mainly due to the perceived impunity enjoyed by the Israeli regime.
The argument suggests that the Israeli government operates with more impunity than historical precedents, even during South Africa’s apartheid era. It appears that Palestinians not only face systemic discrimination but also direct violence, such as massacres and home demolitions. The comparison highlights a lack of accountability for Israel’s actions.
Moreover, there are suspicions that the Israeli government’s actions receive a boost from unwavering U.S. support, including from influential figures like John Hagee, an evangelical leader with controversial views. This external support is seen as contributing to Israel’s perceived impunity and raises concerns about influential individuals shaping global perspectives on the conflict.
The troubling idea is that if Israel decides to wipe out Palestinians, it will probably be with the support of certain U.S. evangelists, whose interests may extend beyond political boundaries.
Considering this viewpoint, the call for global solidarity with the Palestinian cause appears to be a crucial aspect of the story. The emphasis is not only on the geopolitical aspects of the Israel-Palestine conflict but also on broader issues like media representation, external influences, and there appears to be an urgency in addressing an ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Pastor John Hagee:
Televangelist Pastor John Hagee has made several remarks that have been perceived as anti-Palestinian. Here are a few examples:

He has stated that an Israel-Palestinian peace deal would be the work of the Anti-Christ2. This statement implies a negative view of the idea of peace between Israel and Palestine.
In a speech at a pro-Israel rally, Hagee said that Hamas and Hezbollah must be sent to “the ash heap of history” along with people like Hitler, and that those who speak up against Israel are only “speaking of [their] own demise,”3. This statement can be interpreted as anti-Palestinian as it seems to equate Palestinian political groups with historical figures known for their atrocities.
Hagee, the founder and chairman of Christians United for Israel, said “there will never be reconciliation” between warring sides in the perpetual Middle East conflict4. This statement suggests a lack of belief in the possibility of peace and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians.
He said, “Supporting Israel is not a political issue. It is a Bible issue,” Hagee proclaimed in a May 23 sermon on what he called “the battle for Jerusalem”. “Whenever Jesus comes back, Israel is going to be the dominant nation in the world,” Hagee said, touching the belief among many evangelicals that Jesus will return soon to save his followers from this earthly world. Jews are God’s chosen people and the rightful owners of all of Palestine through a “blood covenant”, Hagee declared and he warned, “America’s support of Israel is going soft; soft in the media and soft in Washington, DC.” 5
Propaganda
Organizations such as Christians United For Israel (CUFI) are spreading misinformation in support of Israel. Here is just one example:
Kessler Tragedy
When the unforeseen event involving Mr. Paul Kessler occurred, in a press conference, Ventura County Sheriff Jim Fryhoff said that Kessler fell down and hit his head on the pavement following an altercation with a 52-year-old pro-Palestine protester6. However, the nature of that altercation is “not crystal clear”6. He also mentioned that the only witnesses who have come forward were involved on either side of the protest and these witnesses have provided conflicting statements about the altercation and who the aggressor was6. The investigation is ongoing and it’s not yet clear what exactly transpired prior to Kessler falling backward6.
